Israel to Build Mock 'Lebanese Village' for Combat Training

The Israeli army on Monday laid the cornerstone of a new training facility in the Golan Heights that is meant to simulate a Lebanese village of the type Israeli soldiers might find themselves in should war break out with Hezbollah. The "Snir" training facility will resemble a large Lebanese village, with a Hezbollah command and control headquarters, residential buildings, mosques, and public buildings from which forces can simulate rocket launches.
