Death Penalty Indictment Filed Against Roy Hamoush's Killer

Beirut's first investigative judge, Ghassan Oweidat, issued an indictment in the murder case of Roy Hamoush, requesting death penalty for the perpetrator.

Mohammed Al-Ahmar, who got arrested shortly after the killing, is accused of deliberately murdering Hamoush.

24-year-old engineering student was shot dead on the Dora highway in early June. That night, Hamoush had just celebrated his birthday and was on his way back home with a friend when a traffic dispute broke out between them and three armed men aboard a BMW car.

Adnan Jamal Ghandour and Hani Mohammed Al-Mawla have also been charged with attempted murder as they were involved in the killing.

Al-Ahmar and Ghandour were also charged with transporting unlicensed weapons, while Amale Elias Mumjian was accused of hiding the fugitives.
