Hariri's Chief of Staff Submits Surprise Resignation

Nader Hariri on Saturday resigned from his post as the chief of staff of Prime Minister Saad Hariri, announced a statement released by the premier's press office.

"Hariri thanked Nader Hariri for all the efforts he did during the period of his position and wished him good luck ,” the statement read.

Mohammad Mneimneh, head of the PM's protocol office, has been appointed to replace Hariri as acting chief of staff.

Another statement issued early on Sunday by the Future Movement's General Secretariat stated that Hariri has discharged Maher Abu Al-Khoudoud from his post as the head of his follow-up office.
