Another homicide was reported on Monday as a man killed his wife early in the morning in Beirut’s Ras al-Nabeh area. Fadi Askar had arrived at the Omar Bin Khattab Street aboard his rented car, while wearing a black cloak in a bid to hide his identity and prevent neighbors from recognizing him.
First Investigative Judge in North Lebanon on Thursday issued an arrest warrant against the head of ex-Minister Ashraf Rifi's office, Omar Al-Bahr, after he had confessed to opening fire at his own car so as to frame someone else. Arrest warrants were also issued against two other people over possession of arms and criminal defamation.
A woman in her 30s and her 3-month-old infant were found dead by the side of a road in Bfarweh town, Nabatieh, the National News Agency reported on Friday.
