A woman in her 30s and her 3-month-old infant were found dead by the side of a road in Bfarweh town, Nabatieh, the National News Agency reported on Friday.
A security source identified the woman as Halimeh Nazem Cheker, a Bedouin resident of Zahrani. Her family had reported her missing four days ago.
According to information obtained by Voice of Lebanon radio station, the victims were stoned to death.
Later, the ISF's Information Branch arrested the woman's husband, Kayed Mohammad Al-Nouri, as a probe was launched into the murder.
