Golden Globes 2020: The Winners List

Golden Globes 2020: The Winners List

Streaming revolution be damned: at the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association awarded traditional studios over the disrupters.

As 1917 and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood cleaned up, Netflix only took home two awards. Its big (and expensive) push into high-end film, Martin Scorcese’s The Irishman, was completely shut out. Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story, meanwhile, only got one — a Best Supporting Actress statue for Laura Dern.

The television awards largely reflected the Emmys, with wins for Fleabag and Chernobyl. Even with Game of Thrones out of the running, HBO still won with its buzzy second season of Succession.
