Tawile: No End in Sight for Lebanon's Economic Catastrophe

Head of the Kataeb's Economic and Social Council Jean Tawile slammed the current ruling authority for its failure in handling Lebanon’s main economic problems.

Head of the Kataeb's Economic and Social Council Jean Tawile on Monday slammed the current ruling authority for its failure in handling Lebanon’s main economic problems, affirming that there is no end in sight for the economic catastrophe currently plaguing the country.

“466 days since Lebanese lost regular access to their savings, 322 days since Lebanon defaulted on its Eurobonds, 95 days since Saad Hariri was appointed as a caretaker prime minister,” Tawile wrote on Twitter.

“Yet we have no government, no stabilization/recovery plan, and no end in sight for this economic catastrophe,” he said.
