Kataeb Party’s International Relations Bureau Voices Rejection to Decision Prohibiting U.S. Ambassador from Making Media Statements
The Judge of urgent matters in the district of Tyre, Mohamed Mazeh, has issued a decision “prohibiting the U.S. ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Shea from making any statement to media outlets, and banning in return all Lebanese media outlets from interviewing the ambassador.
Kataeb MP Elias Hankache on Friday commented on the scuffle that erupted between protesters and Lebanese army soldiers in Jal el-Dib early morning as the latter was trying to forcibly open the road.
The killing of peaceful protester Alaa Abou Fakhr is a human rights violation that should be investigated by civilian and not military prosecutors, Amnesty International said today. Abou Fakhr’s death was mourned by Lebanese protesters in vigils held across the country on 13 November.
