There is a mini crisis at Real Madrid right now and, besides the defensive problems, there is an issue in attack as Karim Benzema is being left to do too much. He has netted 10 goals already this season from 10 matches, while he scored the team's goals in the back-to-back 2-1 losses, but the Frenchman hasn't had much support over the past week.
Real Madrid have announced that Karim Benzema has signed a new contract which will keep at the club until June 2023. The French striker's deal was set to expire in 2022, but he will stay in the Spanish capital for at least one more year. The 33-year-old, who signed from Lyon at the age of 21 in 2009, will now be at Real Madrid until he is at least 35.
