Kataeb MP Elias Hankache on Thursday warned that major appointments are being "concocted" by the political forces that are part of the government, saying that the adopted criterion is the ministerial share of each faction, not competence.
"Competency is not important. What matters is to be affiliated to one of the parties that make up the ruling authority," Hankache wrote mockingly on Twitter. "Competence is a silly standard that must be left only for civilized countries to adopt it!"
"Some tell us: Lebanon has always been like this!" he added. "We say: It is time we built a country!"
