Former Economy Minister, Alain Hakim, on Tuesday slammed the government’s performance that is moving in the opposite direction with no intention to implement reforms.
“The government is heading in the opposite direction with no intention for a course-correction,” Hakim wrote on Twitter.
“The international community’s rhetoric is clear: to curb the deficit through closing the sources of squandering and corruption and hindering taxes’ hike,” he noted.
“However, the authority is either in a worrying state of unconsciousness or in a state of dereliction of duty which is an even bigger disaster,” he indicated.
The Kataeb official prompted the party’s warnings from reaching and carrying on with this approach that would submerge the country further.
“The Kataeb party had submitted solutions stipulated by the international community and Lebanon’s best interest,” he declared.
“The authority has to either commit to its credibility towards its people and the international community to save the country or to admit its failure and consequently resign,” he announced.
