Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel on Wednesday met with French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher at the party’s headquarters in Saifi, with talks featuring high on the latest developments in Lebanon.
Gemayel blasted the state’s surrender of its decision-making power in major issues in favor of illegal arms and implicating the country into foreign axes.
He stressed on the need to introduce swift reforms especially in the power sector by appointing an Electricite du Liban (EDL) administration board and a regulatory body, and by adopting the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) law.
“The only solution to the crisis lies in the government’s resignation and the formation of a neutral government of specialists,” the Kataeb leader highlighted.
The meeting was attended by Former Economy Minister Alain Hakim and Kataeb Politburo member Joelle Bou Abboud.
