Farnaud: To Form a Government that Meets Lebanese Demands, Inspires Trust

Head of North Africa and Middle East Department at the French Foreign Ministry Christophe Farnaud on Thursday called for swift government formation of competent, efficient and capable members to take on decisions that meet the Lebanese’s demands and restore trust.

“Lebanon is facing big challenges which are a cause of concern for everyone,” Farnaud said during a press conference held at the Pine Palace, the official residence of the French ambassador to Lebanon.

“France was always by Lebanon’s side in good as well as difficult times,” he added, noting that his country acknowledges the economic, political and social crises facing the country.

“I am here to listen to and understand the Lebanese’s demands, not to enforce solutions,” he assured.
