Kataeb MP Elias Hankache on Thursday slammed the Lebanese government for the increase in the gasoline price, saying that such thing should not be happening in a time where the country is going through a lot.
“Despite the decrease in the oil prices worldwide, we were surprised today by the government’s increase in the gasoline price by 100 Lebanese Lira,” Hankache wrote on Twitter.
“Is there any explanation regarding this issue? Why does the citizen have to bear all these taxes?” Hankache asked.
"Doesn't the Lebanese have the right to benefit from the lower prices in light of everything he is going through?” he added.
