Kataeb's Secretary-General Nazar Najarian on Monday stressed that the Lebanese government didn’t address the coronavirus issue as it was supposed to, saying it should have taken immediate measures as soon as the outbreak has started rather than gradual actions.
“People are lost and still did not absorb what happened,” Najarian said in an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station.
“I don’t think this the crisis will end very soon,” he added.
Najarian said the Kataeb party was the first to offer help when the epidemic started, saying that it has launched many initiatives on the internal level as well as many sterilization campaigns.
“We were the first to help elderly people and provide them with food in so many regions,” he noted.
