Hankache Calls on Government to Help with the Return of Lebanese Stuck Abroad

Kataeb MP Elias Hankache on Thursday slammed the Lebanese government for disregarding its citizens stuck abroad because of the coronavirus outbreak, saying it is its responsibility to protect the Lebanese wherever they are.

“We have received many calls from Lebanese students stranded in Italy and England, critical health conditions for Lebanese in Togo and Turkey as well as businessmen in Australia; all of them want to return to Lebanon,” Hankache wrote on Twitter.

“The government has to manage this issue and give the Lebanese an opportunity to come back before extending the airport’s closure for two more weeks,” he added.
