Beirut's Airport Reopens After Nearly Four Months

Lebanese officials are hoping that the reopening of Beirut’s airport will help resuscitate Lebanon’s suffocating economy, which the government predicts will contract by 13.9 percent in 2020.

Beirut’s Rafik Hariri international airport has reopened on Wednesday for the first time in almost four months due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Five flights are scheduled to arrive later today from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates with one batch that has already left the airport traveling to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, France, United Kingdom and Kuwait.
