Kataeb Party Calls for Lawmakers' Resignation to Restore Mandate to the Lebanese

The Kataeb party deemed the current ruling authority as unworthy.

The Kataeb party on Tuesday deemed the current ruling authority as unworthy, accusing it of its failure in running a country and handling people’s fate.

“The lawmakers’ resignation has now become more than necessary to lift the legitimacy off this system which now poses a threat to the Lebanese national security and their future,” read a statement issued by the Kataeb Political Bureau's weekly meeting held online.

“The decision must be restored to the Lebanese people as the opposition from inside the Parliament does nothing but covers the lie of the good functioning of democracy in Lebanon and provides reassurance for this authority,” it said.

The party condemned the blatant attempts aimed at destroying the country’s financial crimes and getting away from the responsibility of impoverishing the country and pushing it to bankruptcy, saying that the current deterioration prevailing over Lebanon is the result of the shady quotas the corrupted authority controlled by Hezbollah is today practicing on the country and its decisions.
