Gemayel: Lebanon Still Lacked of Sovereignty Even after Israel and Syria’s Withdrawal

Kataeb Leader Samy Gemayel on Tuesday stressed that even after Israel and Syria’s withdrawal from Lebanon’s South, Lebanon remained a country without sovereignty.

“After years of occupation and oppression, Israel withdrew from southern Lebanon on May 25, 2000,” Gemayel tweeted.

“Even after the withdrawal of the Syrian Occupation,Lebanon remained a country without sovereignty amid the presence of Hezbollah’s militia reducing the decision of war and peace, undemarcated land and maritime borders, detained Lebanese in Syrian prisons and others expelled to Israel,” he said.
