Miss Moscow 2018 has been stripped of her title after she had failed to fulfill her duties as a beauty queen and damaged her expensive crown.
24-year-old Alesia Semerenko is accused of declining to attend major events under the pretext of illness, whereas she had been posting photos of her intense social life and her trips.
Organizers said that the beauty queen also kept her crown at home against the rules and returned with "the encrusted diamonds were falling off it".
"When managers went to see her at home, they found that the crown was broken and bent in several places," Pageant producer Svetlana Yagovitskaya.
"We hardly managed to get the crown back from her. It is broken. It has to be repaired. It is an expensive crown, made from gold-plated silver and semi-precious stones," Director of the contest, Tatiana Andreeva-Falk, said.
"The winner of the contest is expected to take part in numerous events for one year, mostly for charity. Alesia has not attended a single one," she added.
