EU Extends Sanctions over Iran's Human Rights Violation

The European Union Council on Monday extended by one year the 2011 sanctions against Iran in connection to serious human rights violations in the country.

The Council’s restrictive measures consist of a travel ban and asset freeze against 82 people and one entity, as well as a ban on exports to Iran of equipment which might be used for internal repression and of equipment for monitoring telecommunications.
