A network of threatening electronic accounts operating in several countries, including Iran and Qatar, has been uncovered by the Bahraini authorities.
Wanted fugitives, Yousuf Al Muhafaza and Hassan Abdul Naby, run the network, implementing a systematic plan to tarnish the Bahrain's image, according to Bahraini news agency (BNA).
“These accounts are being managed from Iran, Qatar, Iraq and a number of European countries including France and German, in addition to Australia. These cells have been identified and legal procedures are being taken against those involved,” head of the Bahraini economic and electronic security department.
The sites are aimed at sowing sedition, undermining social peace and destabilizing security in Bahrain, the official added.
“These cells have been identified and legal procedures are being taken against those involved,” he stressed.
